Pedro Tea Estate

by sarojsuranga

PEDRO TEA ESTATE estate is situated in the shadows of Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, Pidurutalagala. Established in 1885, the factory is filled with the cranky machinery of the 19th century still. This spot is also where the first tea bushes were planted by James Taylor, giving start to the line of Ceylon tea that followed.

The 20-minute tour of the factory will take you through the entire manufacturing process, from grading to packaging.

Though the factory is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., it’s closed to visitors between 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m., and photography within the factory premises is forbidden.

The subsequent time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I know it was my option to learn, but I actually thought youd have one thing fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could repair should you werent too busy looking for attention.
