ゴール灯台 (Pointe de Galle Light としても知られる) は、19 世紀半ばにさかのぼるスリランカ最古の灯台で、ユネスコの世界遺産に登録されているゴール城塞の城壁内にあります。元のゴール灯台は 1848 年にイギリス人によって設立され、ゴール港を一望できる高さ 24.5 メートルのこの地域で最初の陸上灯台でした。 1934 年、壊滅的な火事が古い灯台を破壊しました。これにより、1939 年に現在の灯台が建設され、元の灯台よりも高さが 26.5 メートルになり、前の灯台から約 100 メートル離れた場所に建てられました。
