ウナワトゥナの熱帯雨林の木々の中に隠れながら、ゴール湾の歴史的なゴール砦から水を隔てて見えるのは、スリランカにある 4 つの日本の平和パゴダの 1 つである「サマ セイティヤ」です。ルンマサラの丘にあります。和平塔からそびえ立つ巨大な白い仏塔は、金色に塗られた彫像に囲まれています。近くの階段を上ると、神社の周りを回る通路につながり、ジャングル、海、そして川の息をのむような景色を眺めることができます。見事なゴールフォート。
