PEDRO TEA ESTATE エステートは、スリランカ最高峰のピドゥルタラガラ山の麓に位置しています。 1885 年に設立されたこの工場には、19 世紀の不安定な機械が今も残っています。この場所は、ジェームス テイラーが最初の茶の木を植えた場所でもあり、その後のセイロン ティーの生産ラインが始まりました。
工場の 20 分間のツアーでは、グレーディングからパッケージングまでの製造プロセス全体をご覧いただけます。
工場は午前 8 時から午後 5 時まで営業していますが、午後 12 時 30 分から午後 2 時までは見学者の立ち入りが禁止されており、工場敷地内での写真撮影は禁止されています。
