「Eth Pokuna」または「Elephant Pond」と呼ばれるこの巨大な人工池は、アヌラーダプラのランカラマヤの近くにあり、アバヤギリ僧院群の一部を形成しています。これは長方形の池で、長さ 159 メートル、幅 52.7 メートル、深さ 9.5 メートルで、貯水量は 75,000 立方メートルです。このタンクは、大きな石のブロックを壁に斜めに積み上げて作られています。南側、北側、東側に 3 組の階段があります。底は舗装されていません。
