三方を海に囲まれた城壁に囲まれた町であるこの壮麗な砦は、1588 年にポルトガル人によって最初に建設され、1649 年以降の 17 世紀にオランダ人によって広範囲に強化されました。この要塞はユネスコの世界遺産に登録されており、現在でもアジア最大の要塞です。
