Es un depósito antiguo en Mahiyangana, distrito de Badulla, Sri Lanka. Se cree que fue construido durante el reinado del rey Dutugemunu (161 a. C. - 137 a. C.) por un gigante llamado Bulatha. En el pasado antiguo, este tanque era conocido como el 'Mar de Bintenna'.
El tanque se construyó represando el Diyawanna Oya con un terraplén de 485 metros. La compuerta del tanque se colocó estratégicamente lejos del terraplén y se hizo utilizando la roca natural masiva alrededor del tanque. Se dice que esta es la única tal tipo de compuerta de esclusa encontrada en Sri Lanka.
También puede disfrutar de un paseo en bote en el tanque.
