حديقة يالا الوطنية هي الحديقة الوطنية الأكثر زيارة وثاني أكبر حديقة وطنية في سريلانكا ، وتقع على حدود المحيط الهندي وتمتد يالا على مساحة مثيرة للإعجاب تبلغ 978.807 كيلومترًا مربعًا. يالا هي موطن لمجموعة متنوعة من المخلوقات المحلية ، وكذلك الأنواع المتوطنة. يمكن العثور هنا على ما يصل إلى 215 نوعًا من الطيور و 44 نوعًا من الثدييات و 47 نوعًا من الزواحف و 21 نوعًا من الأسماك و 18 من البرمائيات. بالطبع ، تشمل هذه الأفيال والنمور وابن آوى ودببة الكسلان والتماسيح
